Mission 24 completed

A big thanks you to all that participated. We hope that the event was not only exciting to take part in but was informative as well.

Remember, if you made a contact with a skydiver, please Email Rob at KC6TYD@gmail.com. Indicate witch jumper it was and the jump number. If you’re not quite sure which jump it was, here was the sequence for the day:
Jump 1-Jumper 1, Mark, AF6IM
Jump 2 Jumper 3, Rob, KC6TYD
Jump 3, Jumper 1, Mark, D-Start jump
Jump 4, Jumper 3, Rob

A big thanks to our Ground Crew at the DZ and to our team on Mnt Diablo at Parachute Control.

We are still looking over all our post mission stats and results.  Once this has been completed we’ll be able to get out all the QSL cards.  Please be patient, it could take a few weeks. If for some reason, you don’t receive your card, let us know. Check back soon to view pictures and videos take during the mission. Some have already been post on our Facebook page.

MISSION 25 will be in conjunction withe PACIFICON, October 14-16. The jumps will be on Saturday the 15th. Be sure to come by and visit us at our booth.

Mission 24

CURRENT MISSION STATUS:  We are GO

Parachute Mobile Mission 24 is set for August 14, 2016.
Make a contact with a skydiver and receive a one-of-a-kind QSL card.
WHERE: We will be conducting our Mission from Bay Area Skydiving, Byron Airport, Byron, CA.
TIME: We hope to have our first jump sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 A.M.
FREQUENCIES: FM Jump QSO frequency will be 146.430 MHz simplex.
We will also be dedicating one jump for D-star contacts and one jump for DMR. Locally, D-Star will be via the W6CX C repeater on Mount Diablo, output 145.000, input 147.500, reflector REF014 C.
*UPDATED*DMR frequency will be on California 3106.
Updates: On mission day, updates will be made regularly from “Parachute Control”, a team located on top of Mount Diablo.  Use the simplex frequency to contact them.  Periodic repeater updates will be made on the W6CX repeater located on Mount Diablo, 147.060+ 100.
STREAMING VIDEO: Ground video of jumper prep, take off and landings will be available. Air-to-ground video is still tentative. To watch the excitement unfold go to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/mfwright.
APRS: View live APRS data during each jump. Along with altitude and speed there will also be biotelemetry from the jumper that will include heart rate and SpO2 (blood oxygen level).
