Mission 25, October 15, 2016

CURRENT MISSION STATUS:  Chance of rain delay.  Check back for updates.

Parachute Mobile Mission 25 is set for October 15, 2016.
Make a contact with a skydiver and receive a one-of-a-kind QSL card.


WHERE: We will be conducting our Mission from Bay Area Skydiving, Byron Airport, Byron, CA.


TIME: We hope to have our first jump sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 A.M.


FREQUENCIES: QSO frequency will be 146.430 MHz simplex.
We will also be dedicating one jump for D-star.  Locally, D-Star will be via the W6CX C repeater on Mount Diablo, output 145.000, input 147.500, reflector REF014 C.


Updates: On mission day, updates will be made by “Parachute Control”, a team located on top of Mount Diablo.  Use the QSO frequency to contact them.  Periodic repeater updates will be made on the W6CX repeater located on Mount Diablo, 147.060+ 100.

Facebook Live:  Periodic Facebook live broadcast may happen throughout the day so be sure to follow us on Facebook.


APRS: View live APRS data during each jump. Along with altitude and speed there will also be biotelemetry from the jumper that will include heart rate and SpO2 (blood oxygen level). Just search for the jumper’s call sign at APRS.Fi.

WEBSITE/Facebook: On mission day we will post jump updates here on the website and on Facebook.

NOTICE: As always, this event is subject to change, delay, or cancellation. We have no control of the weather or the airplane.

Feel free to come by the DZ and say “Hi” and check out our operation.  If you’re attending Pacificon at the Marriott, stop by our table to catch all the action there.  We’ll be located in the hallway next to the patio doors.
