Parchute Mobile Will be at Pacificon 2011

We are planning a jump during Pacificon 2011 on Saturday October 15, weather permitting. Rob put together a video with highlights from last year. This year we WILL record the video.

As usual, Rob great job on the video. Love the outtakes.

  • This year we will collect data and post KMLs you can explore in Google Earth.
  • We will be using Xastir as a APRS-IS gateway so you can follow the jump on google maps Live.
  • We will be improving the video setup over last year. This year we WILL record the video. We are working on streaming through ATV, and over the internet via Justin.tv.
  • Of course we will have QSO cards fro the event.

Michael Gregg, KF6WRW, is building a custom camera mount for his helmet.  He put it on Thingaverse.
